The Middle-Belt Forum is

a sociocultural organization representing the collective interests of the indigenous ethnic nationalities of the Middle-Belt region straddling: Abuja FCT, Adamawa, Southern Bauchi, Southern Borno, Southern Kebbi, Gombe, Benue, Southern Kaduna, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Taraba, Southern Yobe.


They are warriors whose bravery remains the uniting pivot of the Nigerian State committed to the liberation of Ethnic Nationalities of the region who are autochthonous and independent of the Sokoto caliphate and the sultanate of Borno when the British came in 1900.

The Middle-Belt Forum is committed to the ethos of Justice, equity and fairness for all and the promotion of egalitarianism

Historical Perspectives

From several historical accounts, the Indigenous Ethnic Nationalities of the Middle-Belt were migrants into the areas south of the Chad Basin as the northern limits the Upper Benue / Gongola Valleys, and the northern fringes of the rainforest zones of present day Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mission

To provide a formidable platform for the articulation of integral ideas, resources and manpower for the expression of freedom from oppression and subjugation of the peoples of the Middle-Belt as independent ethnic nationalities who are not part of the Sokoto caliphate or the Sultanate of Borno in defence of our people, our land and our heritage

Vision

To protect the peoples of the Middle-Belt from all manner of injustice, ill treatment, unfairness rooted in prejudices, stereotype and discrimination which impinges on the dignity and integrity of ethnic nationalities of the Middle-Belt region of Nigeria

Dr Pogu Bitrus

President Middle-Belt Forum

hails from Chibok LGA Borno. He is a graduate of chemistry from University of Maiduguri and a former don in the University. He bagged Ph.D in Chemistry at University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) United Kingdom. He withdrew his services to the University in 1998 to attend to his sociocultural and political pursuits. Dr. Pogu Bitrus is the current President of the Middle Belt Forum

Mark Jacob Nzamah

National Legal Adviser Middle-Belt Forum

iMark Jacob Nzamah is Bajju by tribe,hails from Dibyi - Zonkwa of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State. A foremost voice in the protection and advancement of minority rights. Former Attorney General of Kaduna State. He is the National Legal Adviser of the Middlebelt Forum. He is happily married to Mrs Passuma Palang Jacob and the marriage is blessed with 5 Children

Barr Ziggy Usman

Deputy legal Adviser

Bar. Ziggy Kazaye Usman hails from Jessu in Balanga LGA, of Gombe State, Nigeria. He is Lunguda by tribe. He holds Certificate in Law, Diploma in Law, LL.B Law and LL.M Law From the University of Jos respectively. He is a legal practitioner and consultant who is into active legal practice. He is the principal partner in Zifa Zifa and Associates here in Abuja Nigeria. He is the Deputy National Legal Adviser of the Middle-Belt Forum

Dr. Kavwam Stanley Augustine

deputy National Publicity Secretary

Dr. Kavwam Stanley Augustine hails from Mangu LGA, Plateau State. He is a graduate of Social Work from University of Jos. He also holds Master of Philosophy and Theology, Certificate in Executive Education from Yusufu Turaki Institute of Philosophy, Science and Theology Jos, and Ph.D in Social Work. He is a public affairs analyst and University don. He is the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Middle-Belt Forum and fellow Academy of Science.

Mr. Anthony Adda

Hon.Anthony Aji Adda hails from Taraba State. He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He was a Permanent Secretary Taraba State Government, Head of Service Taraba state, Commissioner Ministry of Education and Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission representing Taraba State. He is an Ex-officio of the Middle-Belt Forum

Pastor Danladi Jeji hails from Abuja Municipal Area Council and is the President Original inhabitants development Association of the FCT (OIDA). He is a Consultant psychiatric Nurse and also hold Bachelor of Theology. He is a community mobilizer
